The London Trading Company (UK) Ltd: facing claims over pension transfer advice
The London Trading Company (UK) Ltd, also known as ‘Lontrad’ and ‘TCM Wealth Management’, was a financial advice firm based in Cardiff, south Wales. Incorporated in July 2014, the firm provided advice on pensions and investments, including Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs).
Previously authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the company has not been authorised since 19 April 2023 and is now in creditors' voluntary liquidation.
The London Trading Company received a volume of complaints about the suitability of the advice they provided. By March 2023, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) had received 23 claims against the firm for unsuitable advice linked to pension transfers into SIPPs. Consequently, the FSCS declared the company to be in default in March 2023.
