TENET - Financial Advisor Network in Administration

In an update on 26 March 2025, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) declared Tenet a failed firm.

Previously the FSCS had been reviewing claims against Tenet, a large network of financial advisors that entered administration in June 2024. Tenet traded under various names including Tenet Network Services and Tenet Connect Limited.

Tenet Connect Ltd (TCL) and Tenet Connect Services Ltd (TCSL) have been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) since December 2001. These firms managed networks of financial advisers who operated independently as appointed representatives (ARs), carrying out regulated activities under the oversight & responsibility of the authorised principal firms, TCL or TCSL.

Another related business, Tenet & You (T&Y) has been sold to My Pension Expert Limited, while Tenet Mortgage Services Ltd and Tenet Financial Services Ltd have ceased trading but are not in administration. Tenet Connect Ltd, directly authorised by the FCA, was responsible for the regulated activities of its appointed representatives, discussed below.

According to the financial website City Wire, "more than 9,500 clients have been identified as being at risk of having received unsuitable advice" from Tenet as of 20 December 2024. Many of these clients may have been advised to transfer out of defined benefit pensions (company pension schemes).
